Once we arrive at the island we will pull our kayaks onshore and explore the rich history that encompasses Cana Island. We can tour the home of the original lighthouse keeper and the oil house where fuel for the light was stored. When the tower is open for visitors we can climb the 97 steps of the spiral staircase to reach the gallery deck and take in the panoramic views of Lake Michigan and the Door Peninsula.
